About Sara

Sara McConneloug has 15 years experience creating art from flowers, fruit and foliage. Her designs have been featured in Bouquets to Art at the de Young Museum for the past 10 years.

Sara lives in Sonoma County, and the wild beauty and green hills and forests of Marin were her childhood playground. Coming from a large family, Sara appreciates the effort and the benefits of creating a gathering to bring families together.

She can often be found at one of the many local Farmer’s markets buying organic food for her family’s table. She strives to make the connection between farming and culture in all aspects of her life and work, with reverence for living things, the soil and water of this planet that nurtures us all.

Sara was educated at St. Anselm’s, San Domenico High School, U.C. Davis, Dominican College, and SF City College Floristry. Her work has also been informed by her experience working on a Community Supported Agriculture Farm in Southern Yosemite, and with California State Parks and extensive backpacking.
